21-Year-Old Gbemisola Shotade Wins Miss UN Tourism 2012 Beauty Pageant In Jamaica

History was made on Sunday,
December 9th, 2012 in Kingston, the
capital city of the third largest Island of
the greatest Achilles, Jamaica as a
Nigerian girl walked tall to beat other
50 Beauty Queens from across
the world to a keenly contested
international pageant, Miss Tourism
United Nations.

The lucky girl, Gbemisola Shotade, 21
an undergraduate of the University of
Lagos. She was also crowned Miss Congeniality and her costume walked
tall as the best in the traditional category.

Gbemisola visited wife of Ogun State governor, Funsho Amosun, before
she left for Jamaica with her Chapron, Faith Irabor and team.
Gbemisola hails from Ogun State.

As the 2012/2013 Miss Tourism United
Nations' Queen, Gbemi's prizes include
$10,000 cash, a modelling contract with Oil Sheen, one of the
top-flight beauty brands in Jamaica and U.S and a great opportunity to
travel around the Caribbean Island.

On her trail as runners up at the
international competition are Miss
Jamaica who's the First Runner-Up, Miss
Caribbean, second Runner-Up followed
by Miss Europe. Others who are part of the top 10 winners are Miss
America, Miss Belize, Miss Bolivia, Miss Bahamas, United Kingdom to
mention but a few.
