MISS UNIVERSE 2012 IS MISS USA, OLIVIA CULPO
Universe win for Miss USA; the previous titles were won in 1954, 1956,
1960, 1967, 1980, 1995 and 1997.
The 20 year old Oliva Culpo wore a gorgeous red velvet gown, quite
appropriate the Christmas season. The Rhode Island queen beat out 88
contestants at the 61st Miss Universe pageant held at Las Vegas'
Planet Hollywood.
At the final stages of the competition, Miss Universe 2010, Ximena
Navarrete, asked Olivia her final question, "What is something that
you have done, that you will never do again?" And Olivia answered,
"first I'd like to start off by saying that very experience, no matter
what it is, good or bad, you'll learn from it. That's just life,". She
continued, "but something I've done that I've probably regretted would
be picking on my siblings growing up because you appreciate them so
much more when you're older, you get closer with your family.
Everybody fights with their siblings, right?! But I don't regret it."
Leila Lopes crowned her successor, Olivia Culpo in glamorous style with
the help of Miss Teen USA, Logan West. The Miss Universe's crown was
designed by Diamond Nexus Labs, and the crown was set with 1,371 gemstones,
weighing a total of 416.09 carats. It contains 544.31 grams of 14k and
18k white gold as well as platinum. However, the synthetic rubies
represent Miss Universe's HIV/AIDS education and awareness platform.
Culpo will receive an undisclosed
salary, a full wardrobe, beauty
products, and a luxury apartment in
New York City.
1st runner up: Miss Phillippines
2nd runner up: Miss Venezuela
3rd runner up: Miss Australia
4th runner up: Miss Brazil

I saw this post here the day she won, how come it is now the most recent? Anyway Olivia is really pretty but I think Janine, Miss Philippines should have won, because she got it all. I guess the judges knew who deserved to be Miss Universe 2012. And they picked who met their criteria. All the girls are beautiful, but there can be only one Miss Universe. Like you said, "Olivia is really pretty", yeah she is.
