OLEKU

Oleku is an African attire worn by women in Western Nigeria in the
70s. The Oleku trend is back again and it is really fabulous and
funny. Oleku comprises of a short wrapper (iro) and a blouse with
short sleeve (buba). It could also be complemented with head tie
(gele).

I had this print material (ankara) for so long, so I decided to sew
Oleku and a skirt with it. Check the skirt here

I wore my Oleku to church today, since today was the last Sunday of
the year. I accessorized my Oleku outfit with a beaded statement
necklace and a simple pair of bead earrings. Then I wore a black
platform shoe and a black purse to complement it.
I decided to take the pictures after church. Check me out.

Thanks for stopping by.
