BEAUTY TIP: Do you want your make up to last throughout the day? Then use a PRIMER

A cosmetic primer is a gel or lotion or cream applied before another
cosmetic to ensure your make-up remains intact throughout the day.
Primers work much like a moisturizer
under your skin and they create a barrier between your skin and your cosmetics.
Primers come in different kinds such as foundation primer, eyelid
primer, lip primer, and mascara primer.
Reasons why you should prime your face before putting on your makeup are-
> Make up Primer prepares your skin
by providing a beautiful base for easier
make-up application
>It gives your makeup a smooth surface to be applied to and gives everything a smooth airbrush finish
>Primers give makeup a surface to adhere to. Instead of your makeup adhering on your skin directly.
> Primers also prevents your skin from metabolizing your make-up. And this
increasing the wear of your make-up
>Primers help to keep humidity
from decreasing the duration of the wear of your make up.
>Makeup primers ensure your make-up remains intact throughout the
>This will allow any under eye concealer to glide on smoothly.
>Some primers also helps to
neutralize redness so your foundation
has less work to do.
>Foundation Primer allow your foundation to stay put even in hot weather.
>Foundation primer help prevent your skin from absorbing talc and pigment from your foundation
>Foundation primer also prevent talc from drawing oil from the
> Moreover, some primers are waterproof so they provide additional benefits by reducing oily shine.

When do you use a primer? You use a primer after you have applied your
moisturizer, allowing at least 5
minutes for the moisturizer to settle
into the skin. Then you press a pea size amount of the primer and
apply gently to your skin. After the application of the primer, you
can go ahead and apply your concealer,
foundation, or face powder as you
normally do.

  1. Hiya.
Thanks for your visit on my Blog.
I currently have 2 primers, a sample size from Benefit Porefessional and Nº7 Shine Free they are okay, but they are not THE ONE for me. I have a oily T zone so I have to keep on trying.

    1. You're welcome Karen. You could try IMAN Oil Control Primer, I'm sure you will like it.
